Jeanne-Marie Canteereau is French-born and is living in New Zealand. She is an outdoor painter and her favourite medium is watercolour, her style is “loose representational”.
Watercolour is an unpredictable medium where every painting is a challenge. But “practice, patience, perseverance, risk and sometimes a little luck are the ingredients of success” she said.
Jeanne-Marie has created and self-published her illustrated “French Cooking in New Zealand”.
Every week, Jeanne-Marie leads a group of Artists in Thames and offers periodic formal workshops in Thames and Thames Valley. She regularly holds solo exhibitions.
She has won regional and local awards, recently the “Public choice” for her “Iceland Poppies”.
